Blue Ridge Exteriors has partnered with a major PVC trim board manufacturer to create a new deck trim board that has a built-in drip cap.  While this company has been manufacturing a similar board for other applications, they agreed to manufacture a deck trim board to meet James Hardie’s Best Practices requirements.

This new trim board has a 2″ face and an elongated drip cap in the back.  Not only does it comply with Best Practices, but will look 100 times better on your home!

Because no PVC trim board manufacturer has ever made a board that is less than a 4″ nominal width, HardiePlank® siding installers have been forced to use a board that is less than pleasing to look at or ignore Best Practices altogether, jeopardizing the warranty.

Blue Ridge Exteriors strictly follows James Hardie’s Best Practices and decided to be proactive and approach this manufacturer with our idea.  A prototype was quickly manufactured and overnighted to us for inspection and final approval.

Effective immediately, this board will be available nationwide, and we will use it exclusively for deck trim purposes.
